Proposal Second in Market Value Competition

James Huemoeller’s proposal, in collaboration with David Malda, finished second in the Market Value Competition for a new mixed-use development in Charlottesville, VA. Along with the other finalists they will now team up with a local developer to look at future developing their project for the site. The jury noted the inclusion of a large retail space, the appropriate scale and density relative to the context, and the clever use of topography as some of the strengths of the team’s proposal.
