Cranbrook BC Builds Project moves forward!

The Cranbrook BC Builds Project Development Permit is approved with great support from the Council and the community.

The BC Builds was awarded in early 2025 to Community Connections Society, in partnership with CitySpaces Consulting, JIM Architecture, and New Dawn Developments. Throughout the process, the City planning and engineering staff have been working closely with the project team to get the project ready for development. As stated in the press release in The Cranbrook Townsman:

“Overall, it’s been a collaborative and exciting opportunity to work with the proponent and the BC Builds/ BC Housing project team,” reads a city staff report presented to city council on Monday, Feb. 9. “There is a sentiment amongst the whole project team that this is a valuable project that is prioritizing people and the end user, and that is visible in the proposed ‘people-first’ design.”
